How we collect, use and protect your personal data when you contact us or request a quote.

What personal data we collect

When you use the enquiry form on this website, we collect: your name, email address, phone number, property postcode and address, and the details you provide about the roofing work you're enquiring about. We don't ask for or collect any payment or financial information through this website.

How we use it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey or call-back, provide a quote, and — if you go ahead — to plan, schedule and carry out the work and keep a record of the job. Our legal basis for this is our legitimate business interest in responding to enquiries, and performance of a contract once you become a customer.

Checking our service area

When you enter a postcode in the enquiry form, we send it to postcodes.io, a free UK postcode look-up service, purely to check the property falls within the area we cover. No other personal details are sent as part of that check.

Address finder

When you type in the ‘Find your address’ box on our enquiry form, the text you type is sent through our website to Google (Google Places) so it can suggest matching UK addresses. Google doesn’t receive your name, email, phone number or any other details from the form, and the lookup isn’t linked to you. You can skip the finder and type your address yourself.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry details are stored securely with Base44, our website and data hosting provider, and are visible only to authorised Yeti Roofing staff. We use Google Workspace (Gmail and Google Calendar) internally to notify our team of new enquiries and to schedule appointments. Google Workspace also stores website session recordings for us (see below). We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies, analytics and session recordings

With your consent, we use cookies to measure how our website is used and whether our adverts work, and we record visits to the site to improve it. Recordings hide anything typed into forms. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Recordings are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job records for as long as needed to carry out any agreed work and to meet our legal and accounting obligations — typically up to 6 years after the work is completed, in line with standard UK record-keeping requirements. If your enquiry doesn't lead to any work, we don't keep your details indefinitely. Website session recordings are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email info@yetiroofing.co.uk. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Keeping your data secure

We restrict access to enquiry and job data to authorised staff accounts only, and take reasonable technical and organisational steps to keep it secure against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we handle personal data. We'll update the date below whenever we do.

This policy was last updated: October 2026.

We’d like to use cookies to understand how our site is used and improve it. That includes recording how you move around and click on our pages (form entries are hidden), and measuring whether our Google adverts lead to enquiries and calls. Nothing is recorded unless you accept. We never sell your data or use it for personalised advertising. You can change your mind at any time from the link at the bottom of every page.
